Being a responsive organization in a niche market, we attract a high-caliber workforce who share our passion for developing new solutions and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Planner / Cost Controller to support the delivery of oil & gas projects.With your expertise in Primavera, you will manage the project plan and produce project schedule analyses and reports showcasing your Primavera skills. You will oversee cost management, including forecasting and change management, during the project lifecycle, and participate in scope, cost management, and progress measurement.Key responsibilities include:Implementing the Project Controls Plan and managing project cost control systems and processes.Managing schedules in Primavera P6, including allocating dates, durations, constraints, logical links, resources, and external links.Participating in discussions regarding activity, scheduling, and prioritization.Building relationships across the project to facilitate maintenance and tracking of costs and schedules, providing updates on timesheets, cost reports, trends, variances, and schedule movements.Updating project schedule activity durations and resource allocations to forecast project outcomes, including progress measurement and earned value management.Generating planning reports, identifying delays and critical paths, and recommending recovery or acceleration strategies.Managing change and contract variations.Developing “what-if” scenarios and schedule analyses.Raising concerns about contractual obligations, key completion dates, resource, and cost implications that could cause delays.Managing project costs within ICON’s ERP system, including budgets, actuals, and forecasts.Managing timesheets and reporting.About YouIdeally, you hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying, or have demonstrated experience in project planning and cost management. You should have strong knowledge of cost management and planning procedures, methodologies, and protocols on oil and gas projects.
