Role
The Road Delivery Lead is responsible for overseeing road maintenance activities, including routine, periodic, and rehabilitation work on regional roads. Additionally, they will assist in preparing high-quality project approvals in alignment with corporate guidelines. This role will support the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) and will be focused on delivering rehabilitation, resurfacing, and routine tasks across the state under the new VRMC model.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
Apply well developed specialist and managerial skills to coordinate the optimal use of available maintenance funds on the road network using corporate asset management strategies and systems.
Lead the development and delivery of maintenance bids for the arterial road network in accordance with corporate guidelines and timeframes.
Lead research and analysis activities on best practice asset management treatments, practices and procurements methods and make recommendations on applicability for managing DTP assets.
Provide expert advice to key senior stakeholders to influence decisions across the Operations division which minimise the asset management obligations across the State and maximise the outcomes achieved from investments in asset management.
Provide expert advice from an operational perspective to the Strategy and Planning Divisions which impact upon decisions making regarding the organisational asset management strategies and policies.
To act as a proactive member of the Maintenance Delivery team, ensuring the team are highly motivated, proactive and forward thinking so outcomes and opportunities are maximised and achieved.
Key Selection Criteria –
The ideal candidate will lead diverse programming situations of varying complexity, including detailed monitoring, analysis, and manipulation of program activities. They will develop and deliver solutions to complex issues and apply specialized skills to introduce new tools for monitoring asset performance. Additionally, they will address complex customer problems where policies or guidelines are lacking. The candidate will use advanced problem-solving skills to develop and implement quality systems and procedures, ensuring standards are met. They will also demonstrate strong managerial skills by understanding employee motivations and adapting leadership styles to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience
