Technical Sales Specialist

A visionary in the eye care and eyewear industry, we are seeking a skilled sales professional to represent cutting-edge innovation for vision and hearing.

Nuance Audio is a stylish, high-tech solution engineered to transform lives. Designed for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss, it combines sound engineering and world-class smart eyewear design.


Key Responsibilities:

* Sales Strategy Execution: Drive sell-through of Nuance Audio in Optical Stores.
* Presentation and Demonstration: Showcase the unique features and benefits of Nuance Audio as part of a complete eyewear solution.
* Customer Engagement: Identify and engage potential customers in both the Optical & Audiology channels.
* Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
* Business Development: Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.


Product Expertise and Training:

* Deep Product Knowledge: Develop expertise in technical specifications and customer use cases.
* Training and Support: Provide training to Optometrists, Audiologists, and Healthcare partners to ensure effective product positioning and customer support.
* Market Intelligence: Stay informed about updates to the product and competitive offerings to maintain a strong value proposition.
* Customer Insights: Gather and document customer feedback to share with marketing and product teams for continuous improvement.
* Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
* Marketing Support: Provide insights and recommendations to support the development of marketing and promotional campaigns.


Reporting and Administration:

* Performance Tracking: Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance against targets.
* Target Achievement: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
* Account Prioritization: Develop and execute sales plans, including account prioritization and growth strategies.
* Product Demonstrations: Conduct a set number of product demonstrations and training sessions for customers per month.
* Lead Generation: Establish and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent follow-up and conversion.
* Sales Activity Reporting: Deliver regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market insights.
* Partnership Development: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support promotional campaigns and product launches.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

* Interpersonal Communication: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Selling Techniques: Persuasive selling techniques and consultative sales approach.
* Technical Aptitude: Technical aptitude to understand and explain AI-powered audio and eyewear integration.
* Time Management: Time management and organizational skills to manage a diverse customer base effectively.
* Industry Experience: Experience in Audiology Channel (in-store or in field) highly regarded.
* Customer Centricity: A deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering tailored solutions.
* Results Focus: Driven to achieve and exceed sales targets with a proactive and goal-oriented approach.
* Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adjust strategies to evolving market conditions.
* Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Market Acumen: Knowledge of the audiology, optical, or technology sectors to navigate the sales landscape effectively.
* Problem-Solving: Innovative thinking to address customer challenges and overcome objections.


Qualification Requirements:

* Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in audiology, optical, or technology industries.
* Performance Record: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Technical Sales: Experience selling innovative or technical products is highly desirable.
* Geographic Mobility: Willingness to travel within the ANZ region to meet customers and attend events.
