The Role
We are seeking a Lawyer / Associate (3-4 years’ PAE) to join our Corporate (Energy, Resources & Infrastructure) practice. As a national practice, we are looking for a candidate to sit in any Mills Oakley office, with a preference for Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth. You will work closely with our market-leading team, led by Partners Lachlan Drew, Natalie Lonergan, Jeremy Rees, Sarah Pick, and Yannis Vrodos.
You will undertake a range of work on complex, strategic energy, resources and infrastructure transactions, including renewables, mining and government contracting. We are looking for a candidate with experience in front-end drafting of commercial contracts, including procurement documents, construction contracts and corporate contracting. Experience in running and administering procurement processes would be favourable. The role will also involve advising on general commercial contracting, statutory and contractual interpretation, regulatory advice, and corporate advice and transactions in the energy sector. You will have the ability to develop a strong network with colleagues at Mills Oakley and with our market-leading clients.

Qualifications
- experience in project and people management, in the context of a legal practice;
- an excellent academic record coupled with solid legal skills and a practical mindset;
- a proactive approach and the desire to work as part of an integrated national team;
- an ability to work to tight timeframes and collaboratively;
- a willingness to work with different Partners and clients across multiple jurisdictions;
- excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate colligability; and
- an interest in business development, marketing and thought leadership.
