Working within an interdisciplinary approach to health promotion, the Health Promotion Officer (HPO) supports the delivery of tailored programs and initiatives that work towards improving health outcomes for women in the Loddon Mallee region.

About the Opportunity:

Working within an interdisciplinary approach to health promotion, the Health Promotion Officer (HPO) supports the delivery of tailored programs and initiatives that work towards improving health outcomes for women in the Loddon Mallee region.

This position will contribute to the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of strategies that support WHLM’s Strategic and Health Promotion plans.

Reporting to the Health Promotion Manager, this position is part of the Health Promotion Team that uses a primary prevention approach to undertake work across all six priority areas.

The Health Promotion officer will:

- Applyhealth promotion principlesand community development practices, that successfully contribute to WHLM’s Integrated Health Promotion (IHP) and Strategic Plan objectives.
- Support the development and implementation ofprojects planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation.
- Collaborate and engage stakeholders to build and sustain effective networks andstrategic relationships and partnershipswith key stakeholders.
- Throughcapacity building, enhance the skills, knowledge and resources of individuals or organisations.

We are looking for someone with:

We are seeking someone with a relevant tertiary degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Social or Health Sciences, or a related field. Graduates, (or early career with 1-2 years’ experience) are encouraged to apply. Experience in managing health promotion projects and delivering training is also desired.

Living within the Loddon Mallee region is desirable, as is being eligible for registration as an IUHPE Registered Health Promotion practitioner.

They are a passionate and dedicated professional with a robust commitment to improving women’s health and wellbeing. Bringing a deep understanding of health promotion and community development practices, with a drive to apply this knowledge to create meaningful impact across the Loddon Mallee region. Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—support effective engagement with diverse audiences and the development of strong stakeholder relationships.

A proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams. Outstanding organisational and time management skills enable the handling of competing priorities and tight deadlines. Proactive, energetic, and driven, with a curious and open-minded approach that fosters continuous learning and professional growth.

What we can offer you:

$85,000 – $89,999 per annum + salary packaging.

The position is based at 47 Myers St Bendigo with work from home flexibility offered.
