Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team in Newcastle. Initially, this role will involve working 2-3 days per week from partnering surgeons' clinical rooms, providing functional assessments and treatment, while managing an existing patient load.

This position offers a unique opportunity to transition to a part-time or full-time role with our new Kieser Newcastle clinic opening soon. You will play a pivotal role in triaging patients and safely prescribing and supervising exercise and strength training to support their recovery and wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide functional assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for existing patients in the surgeons' rooms.
* Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
* Deliver evidence-based exercise prescriptions for rehabilitation and recovery.
* Support patient care with tailored exercise programs designed to improve mobility, strength and overall health.


Required Qualifications and Certifications:

* ESSA recognised Bachelor or Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology Degree
* Current ESSA registration
* Valid working rights in Australia
* Active and current Professional Indemnity Insurance
* First Aid & CPR Certification
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* National Police Check
* Working with Children Check


Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

* Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting
* Strong experience in rehabilitation and functional assessments.
* Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Flexibility to work part-time or full-time, with availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
