About The Role
The Geotechnical Specialist will be responsible for:
* Designing and scheduling operational processes to optimize fleet mix across planning horizons.
* Implementing effective Drill and Blast systems management practices.
* Collaborating with clients and internal teams to develop strategic mine plans.
* Engaging with key stakeholders on operational challenges and developing short-term solutions.
* Communicating evolving project plans to team members.
* Developing strong working relationships with the operations team.
* Analyzing coal reconciliation data and collaborating on mine rehabilitation design.
* Providing weekly and monthly production metrics reports.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining or a related field (e.g. Civil Engineering).
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in an operational geotechnical capacity.
* Proficiency with software applications such as Vulcan, Deswik or Spry.
* A commitment to upholding best practices in health and safety.
* Excellent communication, analytical and time-management skills.
