Full-Time | Be the backbone of compliance and systems management
Gold Coast Barges is looking for a Systems & Compliance Officer who thrives on detail and loves keeping things organised. This role is critical to ensuring our marine operations meet safety, compliance, and quality standards—while maintaining seamless document control across the business.
What You'll Do
* Compliance & Safety: Prepare and maintain SWMS, HSEMP, JSEA, and other safety documentation.
* Document Control: Manage version control, approvals, and filing of all compliance documents.
* Policies & Procedures: Create, maintain, and review all business policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current legislation and best practice.
* Training & Licensing: Track skill gaps, schedule training, and ensure licences are current.
* System Improvements: Monitor registers, audits, and emergency preparedness reports.
* SharePoint Super-User: Configure, manage permissions, and optimize workflows.
* IT Support & Integration: Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, configure new systems, and adapt to new software programs and applications—ensuring they are integrated into the business and leading their rollout .
* Sales Support: Assist the sales department with tenders and compliance documentation.
* Return-to-Work Coordination: Liaise with WorkCover and manage return-to-work processes.
* HR Support: Assist the Admin Manager with HR requirements, onboarding, and compliance checks.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in compliance, safety systems, and document control (min 2-3years experience).
* Advanced SharePoint skills (site management, permissions, document libraries).
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Tech-savvy with problem-solving ability and adaptability to new technology.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* A background in Construction
* Marine industry experience is preferred for this role.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
