***About the opportunity**:
The Allied Health Assistant's primary objective is to enhance the wellness and lifestyle capacity of residents through exercise and activities focused on restorative and rehabilitative programs. Direction and support is provided by the Physiotherapist for the delivery of allied health care and services. Safe provision of physiotherapy programs in consultation with and as per documentation by the Registered Physiotherapist, in residential aged care services.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Enhance the wellness and lifestyle capacity of residents through exercise and activities focused on restorative and rehabilitative programs
- Be accountable to the Line Manager for the achievements of the residents and the unit
- Take direction and support from the Physiotherapist for the delivery of allied health care and services
- Safe provision of physiotherapy programs in consultation with, and as per documented by the Registered Physiotherapist, in residential aged care services
- Work within the parameters of professional qualification in providing services to meet individual goals
- Ensure residents have access to assistive devices as assessed by the physiotherapist
- Report directly to the Line Manager
- Model and demonstrate extensive knowledge of Arcare's Values, Relationship-centred model of care and Senses-framework
**Essential**:
- Certificate IV Allied Health.

**What you will be doing**: Reporting directly to the Residence Manager, you will be a part of our highly motivated team of Carers and Nurses. You will be responsible for leading the direct care and services team in providing quality personal, social and emotional care and support to residents and their representatives in accordance with Arcare's Values.
