We are recruiting a highly skilled Locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine to join Southport District General Hospital, part of the Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The role offers flexible shifts (Monday-Friday 09:*****:00) and a supportive partnership through Medacs Healthcare.

Responsibilities
As a Locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine you will provide acute and rehabilitation care for stroke patients, working closely with vascular surgeons, neurosurgeons, interventional neuroradiologists, and the multidisciplinary stroke team. You will deliver expert clinical care, supervise junior doctors, and contribute to education, research and clinical excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent
Full GMC specialist licence, able to practice in the UK
Hold CCT or CESR in Stroke Medicine (or within 6 months of achieving it) – essential
Relevant consultant-level experience, with references supporting transition up to consultant level
Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
Pass an enhanced background check (DBS)
