The opportunity

You will guide and provide relevant advice to your stakeholders on all Mobility related activities and bring together stakeholders and colleagues across the Mobility ecosystem to successfully manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the assignments.
Your key responsibilities
The position will work with business leaders and assignees at all levels, to plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end international mobility assignments into and out of the region. You will guide and provide relevant advice to your business stakeholders and assignees to ensure consistent exceptional assignee experiences with intentional outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
1. Act as the primary Mobility point of contact for one or more Service Lines in your Region and manage all phases of in-bound and out-bound assignments, including high complexity and VIP assignments
2. Act as a trusted advisor to your Stakeholder group within your Service Lines, applying an understanding of business needs to develop solutions
3. Work closely with Stakeholders to understand the business case of newly initiated assignments, and apply the global mobility policy framework to map and determine the appropriate assignment category and relocation package which aligns to the needs of the business as well as the assignee
4. Collaborate with operational stakeholders such as Talent and Finance to ensure they are equipped to successfully support Mobility
5. Partner with home/host Mobility Consultants in the development of the appropriate assignment package, and work closely with them to manage all phases of the assignments
6. Instruct the offshore support team on all activities as per scope of service, and review and monitor output
7. Apply knowledge of Tax and Immigration regulations to support the business in managing risk and to ensure effective assignment planning
8. Monitor vendor services to ensure consistent and exceptional service delivery, manage exceptions and issues for resolution and provide feedback to continually improve operations
9. Escalate issues with the appropriate network
10. Ensure assignee is fully briefed and informed at all stages of the process to ensure understanding of the critical milestones, legislation, and documentation to be completed
11. Action and manage all major on-assignment events for assignees, including salary review, payroll cut-off dates and annual allowance reviews
12. Maintain frequent communication with assignees to ensure their assignment is progressing as planned and assist in resolving any issues
Due to global nature of the role, willingness to work flexible hours will be required
Skills and attributes for success
You will have the ability to understand a matrixed organization and communicate effectively to connect our people with each other to drive things forward. You will have knowledge and experience in international mobility at a large multinational firm. You are comfortable handling multi-layered issues and have the ability to navigate complex organizational structures effectively, even in times of ambiguity. You are someone with strong organizational skills, who is proficient at prioritizing and managing multiple, time-sensitive initiatives simultaneously.
To qualify for the role, you must have
13. Strong knowledge and experience of international mobility, policies, processes, and systems
14. General knowledge of HR principles – recruitment and selection, career management, performance reviews, termination, remuneration, induction/ on-boarding, employee relations etc.
15. Strong understanding of relevant Tax and Immigration
16. Strong understanding of payroll requirements to draft accurate instructions for the amendment of compensation packages and payments relating to the assignment terms
17. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain trust and confidence as an advisor
18. Demonstrate a strong customer service mindset. A desire to deliver exceptional service to internal business stakeholders and assignees
Ideally, you’ll also have
19. Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels including colleagues within other regions, stakeholders, as well as external vendors
20. Able to work effectively in a fast paced, agile, and demanding environment
21. Ability to work in a virtual teaming and complex stakeholder matrix environment
22. Ability to use a Global Mobility Technology tool as well as other relevant HR systems and knowledge tools
23. Experience and good level of skill in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
24. An appropriate level of business acumen
25. Strong attention to detail
