**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Official Visitor. This role involves visiting detainees at the adult correctional centre and court cells, as well as individuals with disabilities in supported accommodation and residential age care.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve, ensuring their rights and wellbeing are protected and respected. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify and address systemic issues, provide support and guidance to entitled persons, and promote a culture of safety and dignity.
As an Official Visitor, you will be responsible for conducting regular visits, gathering information, and providing reports to relevant authorities. You will also play a key role in promoting community engagement and awareness about the importance of official visitor services.
To be successful in this role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. You will also need to be flexible and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
