Disability Team Leader
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to lead our Disability Support team. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of individualised supports within supported independent living accommodation settings.
The role requires the ability to strengthen the knowledge and abilities of our Support Worker team to ensure a person-centered and high-quality culture within the program.
Key responsibilities include providing direct support, leading a team across a range of customer needs, and assisting customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
This position involves the operation of an allotted SIL/s with administrative functions while providing leadership and mentoring to a team of Disability Support Workers to support and develop skill capacity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in the Health Sector is highly regarded
* Cert 4 or higher in a related field
* Demonstrated leadership/management experience is highly regarded
* Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
* Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
* Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
* Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
* Ability to obtain a paid NSW and VIC Working with Children Check prior to commencement
* Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
* Smart Phone
* Current Driver's Licence
