With seven offices throughout Australia our team work on projects that transform and improve the lives of ordinary Australians every day.The Opportunity:This role can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Devonport or Launceston.Build strong relationships with clients as well as environmental and water related disciplines to deliver projects;Technical stewardship of the pitt&sherry Maritime Structures Team;Technical review of deliverables to ensure output of a technically high standard;Mentoring and managing a small team of junior team members;Management, either technical management or project management as a technical lead of a variety of engineering projects across the country;Delivering coastal infrastructure projects including feasibility studies, condition assessments, design of coastal structures;Building strong relationships with clients to expand our presence in the Maritime sector.Complete site visits as required.What you bring:An experienced engineer with extensive technical experience in maritime structures and ports;An ability to draw on strong engineering foundations to resolve technical challenges;A desire to provide technical leadership to the Maritime and Coastal team.Strong technical and numerical modelling skills to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively, delivery cost effective, high performance solutions for our clients;Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate discipline specific engineering concepts into language that can be understood by clients and colleagues;Experience with Strand7 and Spacegass or equivalent packages;Experience with SwanOne, SWAN – GUI, DELFT3D, IH2VOF, XBEACH, or equivalent packages will be viewed favourably, however such experience is not mandatory.Why join us:We're a friendly bunch who are passionate about our work.
