 
        
        Ark Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an Aged or Disabled Carer to support people with disabilities in living independent, empowered, and fulfilling lives. We're looking for compassionate, skilled, and dedicated individuals to provide high-quality care and build genuine connections.
As an Aged or Disability Carer, you will provide person-centered support to older people and individuals with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and medication while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence.
Responsibilities
 * Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs.
 * Assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating.
 * Preparing meals, performing light housekeeping, and laundry tasks.
 * Supporting residents with daily activities and encouraging social engagement.
 * Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents.
 * Fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and the care team.
 * Assisting with medication reminders per care plans and basic health monitoring under delegation.
 * Undertaking tasks outside the home, such as shopping and organising travel.
 * Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care.
 * Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, family members, and support workers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Qualifications and Requirements
 * Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community or Disability) or higher (or equivalent overseas qualification) or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4).
 * 12 months full-time or equivalent part-time (at least 20 hours per week) or casual basis employment with proven experience is required in Aged / Disability Care Services.
 * Previous experience in personal care, disability support, or a similar role is essential.
 * A valid Australian driver's license is required.
 * Strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate, patient approach.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 * A valid National Police Check, Working with Children Check and other NDIS entry-level certificates are required.
 * First Aid, Manual Handling and CPR Certificate is required.
Working Hours and Benefits
