Job Description
The role of a Personal Care Worker is to deliver exceptional client care in a community setting. To succeed, you will possess a strong background in aged care and/or disability services, with a passion for cultivating respectful relationships with clients, their families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Care Provision: Provide personal and domestic care to clients, prioritizing their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
* Relationship Building: Foster positive and inclusive relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues, utilizing effective communication skills and professionalism.
* Collaboration and Time Management: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve outstanding care outcomes, utilizing efficient time management and organizational skills.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, communicating clearly and concisely through written and verbal reports.
Requirements:
* A Certificate III in Aged Care, Community Care or Disability Services is mandatory.
* You should have at least one year of relevant experience in aged care or disability services.
* You must demonstrate professionalism, respect for staff, clients, and their families, and excellent communication skills.
* You should possess good judgment, quick decision-making, and the ability to work autonomously.
* You will need a Current National Police Clearance and First Aid and CPR qualifications (or be willing to obtain).
* A driver's licence and own car would be desirable.
* Familiarity with Government funding environments for aged care and NDIS would also be beneficial.
