As a Principal Stakeholder Relationship Officer, you will help strengthen the connection between the Queensland Government and communities across rural and regional Queensland. Working within the Regional Engagement team in the Regional and Rural Development branch, you will support positive partnerships, contribute to regional priorities and ensure local voices inform government decision making. Your work contributes directly to better outcomes for Queenslanders living and working in regional areas.
In this role, you develop and implement regional engagement strategies, identify emerging local issues and analyse how government an industry initiatives may affect your region. You prepare well researched briefs, presentations and communication materials, and support senior officers with inter departmental meetings. You also represent the department at local events and assist with Ministerial or executive visits by planning programs and coordinating logistics. Each day involves engaging with diverse stakeholders, sharing information, promoting
departmental programs and ensuring communities are aware of key initiatives.
Success in this role looks like strong, respectful stakeholder relationships, well informed advice to senior officers and proactive identification of issues and opportunities across your region. You will use your communication, analytical and organisational strengths to support effective engagement and help deliver government priorities.
