Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing & Distribution

Chandler Macleod is partnering with a well‑established and growing food manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Operations Manager for its Banksmeadow facility. This is a key leadership role overseeing both factory and warehouse functions, ensuring seamless production, quality, and distribution outcomes across a high‑volume environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on operational leader who thrives in fast‑paced settings and has a proven ability to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee all daily production and warehouse operations to ensure output, quality, and service standards are consistently achieved.
* Coach, mentor, and develop team leaders and frontline staff to build a culture of accountability, safety, and ongoing improvement.
* Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, WHS, and relevant food safety and regulatory requirements.
* Manage inventory, logistics, and distribution activities to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and DIFOT performance.
* Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities, delivering measurable benefits in productivity, cost efficiencies, and waste reduction.
* Work closely with the production planner on scheduling, workforce planning, and long‑term operational strategies.
* Proactively identify risks and operational challenges, implementing effective and timely solutions.
About You
* Extensive experience managing both manufacturing and warehouse operations, ideally within the food sector.
* Strong leadership capability with the ability to build, motivate, and lead high‑performing teams.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
* A results‑driven mindset with experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
* Adaptable, hands‑on, and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast‑moving operational environment.
* Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems.
