The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our supportive team based in Kewdale. Reporting to the WA Sales and Operations Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the sales and design departments, along with strategic business partners. Driving primary demand via project tracking and securing designs for current and future projects will be critical to the role, as well as developing relationships with Commercial Builders, Architects and Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Achievement of sales budget and KPI's
Actively source project specifications
Provide design support to customers, architects, engineers and internal sales staff.
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
Provide technical support to both direct and indirect customers.
Work collaboratively with Rondo management and other departments by providing ideas and suggestions.
Enforce and follow WH&S, quality and environmental procedures.
Working knowledge of Australian and other design codes (AS**** series, AS**** etc.)
Site inspections to ensure systems have been installed as per design specification.
New product growth
Provide external and internal wall and ceiling designs for customers from project register.
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role you will be a strong team player with a can-do attitude. You will have a background in the commercial construction sector and a demonstrated track record in technical sales and/or presales achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. You will also ideally have:
Experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
Relevant bachelor's degree with 3- 8 years of design experience.
Knowledge of light gauge roll formed steel products and their design (highly regarded)
Ability to understand building systems and construction drawings.
Advanced communication skills with strong attention to detail
Experience with MS Windows, Excel, and AutoCAD / Revit (desirable).
