Your New Role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Financial Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across all financial functions. This role ensures the organisation meets its compliance obligations, maintains strong financial controls, and supports the CEO and Board with accurate, timely financial reporting. The Financial Manager plays a key role in organisational sustainability, risk management, and in supporting program teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will be responsible for:

* Lead organisationalfinancial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, reserves, and long-term sustainability planning.
* Providestrategic financial adviceto the CEO and Board to support informed decision-making.
* Overseeday-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and internal controls.
* Ensure fullcompliancewith Australian Accounting Standards, ACNC/ORIC requirements, funding agreements, and audit obligations.
* Prepare and presentmonthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, risks, and recommendations.
* Manage thefinancial components of grants, contracts, and funding, including budgeting, tracking, and acquittals.
* Lead, mentor, and develop thefinance team, while building financial literacy across the organisation in a culturally respectful way.
* Overseefinancial systems (MYOB), improve processes and reporting, and identify and mitigate financial and organisational risks.
* Actively uphold, implement, review, and improve the organisation's Integrated Management System (IMS)by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, contributing subject-matter expertise, supporting performance monitoring and reporting, proactively managing change, risk, hazards and incidents, and driving continuous improvement to ensure safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operations aligned with customer and organisational requirements.
Your Profile:

A strategic and analytical professional with strong attention to detail, able to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrates strong leadership, integrity, and ethical judgement, with the discipline to work independently and remotely.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in financial management roles.
* Demonstrated experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector.
* Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and NFP compliance.
* Experience preparing financial reports for Boards and senior leadership.
* High proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
* WA residency with full working rights.
* CPA/CA qualification (or working towards).
* Experience working with Aboriginal organisations or remote communities.
* Knowledge of ORIC, ACNC, and government funding frameworks.
* Experience with payroll systems.
