Our client, based in Collie, is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for their mining operations to ensure production outcomes are achieved in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Role Description
* You will be responsible for the procurement and expediting process for the delivery of equipment and the supply of goods and services, including daily receipt, storage and issue of goods and materials in a timely and costs-effective manner, as well as invoice reconcilliation.
* Excellent customer service and problems solving skills
* Understanding application and procedures in supply
* Experience in the resources industry
* Literate in Procurement or ERP systems (Pronto)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
* Valid WA "C" class driver's licence (essential)
* Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen
Desired Qualifications
* Diploma in Business/Supply
* Competence in Materials Management; Dangerous & Hazardous Materials Handling; and Manual Handling
Remuneration
* Based on Monday to Friday (average 42 hours per week)
* $51.35 flat hourly rate
* Temporary to permanent opportunity
