Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist with patient care activities and provide essential support services to clinical staff, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the theatre environment.**The Position*** Assists with the transfer, transport and care of patients and equipment as directed by the Nursing Staff, in accordance with safe practice guidelines and the relevant shift Duty Statements.* Assists in the cleaning of the department in accordance with Duty Statements and Hospital cleaning protocols and procedures.* Assists in the delivery and collection of meals as required and in accordance with Duty Statements.* Presents a professional, courteous approach when attending to patients and all enquiries.* Contributes to the development of teamwork within the department and the wider hospital community as per the Duty Statements.* Communicates appropriate information to the Registered Nurse, Shift Coordinator or Nurse Manager.* Attends relevant training sessions offered by SJGHC. Recognises the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position.* Achieves mandatory annual hospital competencies and assumes responsibility for record maintenance.* Actively seeks opportunities for further professional development.The successful candidate will demonstrate well-developed verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse team. You will be highly organised, able to prioritise workload efficiently, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. You will also thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, contributing positively to team outcomes and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
