We are seeking a Chef to join our kitchen team at Adelaide airport in a permanent full‐time position. This role is hands‐on and supports the Australian aviation industry by preparing a wide range of international hot and cold meals for airline customers.
Typical day
Work in a busy, open‐plan kitchen preparing and cooking various international hot and cold meals in commercial quantities for our airline customers.
In a Nutshell, Your Main Responsibilities Are
* Prepare and cook hot and cold Economy and Business class meals for our Domestic and International Airline customers.
* Work to the menu specifications of each airline, ensuring ingredient accuracy.
* Assist the Kitchen Team meet daily production targets in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
* Minimise food wastage and ensure effective stock control.
* Maintain a clean and hygiene working environment at all times.
* Follow all Food Safety, HSE and Hygiene policies, including HACCP, IFSA and QSA.
What do you need to be successful in securing this role
* Clear National Police Check.
* Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications.
* Minimum 3 years commercial Chef experience.
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred but not essential.
* Passion and drive to deliver high quality food for our customers.
* Flexibility to work a 7‐day rotating roster and availability to work 38 hrs/week.
* Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, specifications, and processes.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* A team‐first mindset and willingness to support others.
* Must be motivated, hardworking and have a good attitude.
