Both our branches provide sales, fabrication, and installation of aluminium security screens, windows and doors, shower screens, and glazing services to both the residential and commercial markets. In Carnarvon, we also deliver automotive glazing services. Our clients range from construction project work working closely with contractors and builders through to local homeowners, visitors, and our work is as diverse as the communities we serve.
Our Carnarvon branch is seeking an experienced, organised, and hands-on Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations, organisation and wellbeing of staff, uphold and build new client relationships and ensure smooth workflow in all aspects of the Carnarvon workshop.
The Role:
As the Operations Manager in Carnarvon, you will take responsibility for our team of five, overseeing their day-to-day work to ensure safe and efficient job scheduling. You’ll manage a busy and varied workflow across all areas of our services, maintaining strong quality assurance, healthy client relationships and ensuring jobs run smoothly from start to finish.
- People leadership and management – labour planning, supervision, inductions, training, workplace health and safety, adherence to company policies and procedures, staff wellbeing & performance reviews
- Factory management – workflow efficiency, quality assurance, minimising waste, stock control, safety, machine operation and maintenance requirements, dispatch / logistics, housekeeping, storage
- Administrative tasks – job documentation, communicating with customers and staff, schedules / meeting deadlines, ordering, supplier communication, updates and delays
The Person:
To be successful in this role it is essential that you are a self-driven person possessing the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Previous operational management and leadership experience within a manufacturing environment (desired)
- Background in Glass & Glazing / Aluminium fabrication (or related industry) and ability to quickly learn technical and product requirements (requirement)
- Training or qualification in Leadership & Management (desired)
- Ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions with a high standard of attention to detail and dedication to a quality product
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Commercial awareness and a customer first mindset
- Strong computer skills
- An approachable and team driven individual
