About the Role
As a key member of our outdoor cinema team, we are seeking an experienced and skilled kitchen professional to join us for our summer season. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience working in a high-volume QSR or event setting, with a strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety protocols. A trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification would be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, cook and assemble food items according to recipes and portion controls
2. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards at all times
3. Restock and rotate stock, assist with prep stations during service and ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout the event season
4. Support front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
5. Monitor kitchen equipment and report any hazards or issues promptly
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year's experience working in a kitchen, preferably in a high-volume QSR or event setting
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety protocols
* Trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification (desired)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Experience in hospitality, events or cinema industry
* Valid RSA and Australian work rights (essential)
