Tolling Market Lead
The Tolling Market Lead will partner with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies across the globe. This role will champion the identification and development of projects and programs for toll facility clients within HDR’s 36 operating areas and will be responsible for enhancing and expanding HDR’s suite of toll industry services to both existing and future clients.
Services
- AET conversions for existing facilities
- Planning and design services for systems including technology, payment methods, and advisory services
- Mobility and operational technology services – ATST, ITS, CAV, tolling system development and operations, managed lanes, ZEM, and OT cybersecurity
- Advisory services – asset management, ROW, value engineering, funding and finance
Responsibilities
- Lead the growth and success of tolling services and programs for toll road and toll facility clients.
- Partner with local area business development leaders and business group managers to research, pursue, and deliver tolling opportunities where HDR can compete and deliver professional services.
- Develop and maintain client relationships within local area teams and market sector teams.
- Support TBG region directors in evaluating and prioritizing investments to capture tolling client opportunities across their regions.
- Represent HDR in industry organizations, leading strategy for presence and leadership in organizations such as IBTTA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Recognized leader in the Toll Roads/Toll Facilities space.
- Proven ability to set and execute growth strategy for a practice, ideally in the tolling market.
- Established relationships with major toll clients and DOTs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
- Experience in developing and managing strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering and/or planning services.
- Experience building and managing a wide range of client relationships and pursuing specific program or project opportunities.
- Experience in staff development – recruiting, career pathing and professional growth.
- Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible market presence.
- Ability to work cooperatively with Area and Regional Business Group Directors and Market Sector Directors.
- Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and active participation in our employee‑owned culture.
