Our client, located in Port Pirie, is an integrated multi-metals recovery plant with a rich history of over 150 years as a leading manufacturer of zinc, lead and other metals. They are currently seeking Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitters to join in an upcoming shutdown commencing the 7th of October until the 2nd of December 2025, offering both Day and Night shifts. Successful applicant will be required to perform their allocated duties for the whole duration of the shut.
What’s on offer?
- 12 Hour Shifts, 13 Days on, 1 Day off (over duration of shutdown period)
- Day Shift flat Rate $65p/h / Night Shift Flat Rate $74.75p/h
- Accommodation & Meals provided
- Mob/Demob allowance
- Training and Inductions provided
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mechanical repairs and replacement of parts
- Preventative / Breakdown Maintenance Requirements
- Adhering to site safety and operational procedures
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Trade Qualifications
- White Card
- Trade Specific Tools
- Valid Confined Space & Working at Heights Tickets
- Forklift / Elevated Work Platform Ticket (desirable but not essential)
Pre-screening requirements for fitness for work, including drug and alcohol screening, form part of the minimum requirement for selection and employment.
