Harry Maxwell has been engaged to recruit a newly approved Key Account Manager role for a national industrial group with deep roots in mining and materials handling. Based in Perth, this role focuses on building market presence across Western Australia, with a strong emphasis on the Goldfields region.
This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in technical sales, enjoys building trusted partnerships, and brings commercial discipline to complex stakeholder environments. The successful candidate will drive new business development, reestablish brand awareness, and demonstrate the value of premium engineered products in a market currently dominated by low-cost alternatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and grow Tier 1 and mid-tier mining client relationships across WA
• Rebuild brand presence and drive new business across the Goldfields
• Deliver technical sales of engineered conveyor products and solutions
• Own the sales pipeline, CRM discipline, and reporting cadence
• Engage engineers, procurement teams, maintenance leaders, and site-based stakeholders
• Travel to the site approximately 25% of the time, with proactive outreach across Perth
Key requirements
• 7+ years' experience in mining, industrial equipment, or bulk materials handling
• Strong technical sales capability, ideally with aftermarket exposure
• Familiarity with conveyors, pulleys, rollers, pumps, pipes, or mechanical equipment
• CRM and reporting capability (Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or similar)
• Ability to influence engineers, procurement, and operational leaders
• Background as a fitter, tradesperson, or engineer, highly regarded
