Description
This is a permanent full-time opportunity to provide administrative support across various areas within our organisation, with a high degree of accuracy and within designated timeframes. This role will also provide efficient administration and customer service for patients and professional disciplines with internal and external customers, whilst demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
About You
We are looking for someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with our organisational values:
1. Perform a wide range of administrative duties across all areas within the organisation, which may include (but is not limited to) reception, referral centre, scheduling, medical records, billing, and call centre/switchboard services.
2. Provide excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a written and oral capacity with all patients, their families, and staff.
3. Receive and process release of information requests in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, and statutory requirements. This includes mid-level interpretation and communication of patient information contained within the electronic and historical medical record and by accessing other hospital information systems to authorised external enquirers.
4. Receive and process requests for patient electronic and historical medical record information from external facilities in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, and statutory requirements for the continuing care of our patients.
