What you'll do
As a Maintenance Officer with AnglicareSA's Believe Housing Australia, you'll carry out minor maintenance repairs across tenanted and vacant properties.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our properties are safe, comfortable and well-maintained homes for tenants and communities across South Australia.
This hands-on role involves completing multiple tasks daily, from repairing fixtures to supporting renovation projects. Whether out on the road or working with trade specialists and other team members, you'll ensure timely, high-quality work that upholds tenant dignity and wellbeing.
You'll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
Performing maintenance tasks such as patching, painting, carpentry, tiling and fixture replacements
Supporting renovation work, including dismantling and site prep
Troubleshooting and resolving basic plumbing and electrical issues
Installing new appliances, units, flooring and wall tiles
Managing your own inventory and accurately documenting work completed and managing asset maintenance data

What you'll bring
You'll be a hands-on problem solver with a knack for fixing things, from minor carpentry to troubleshooting plumbing issues.
Your strong communication skills and flexible, solution-focused approach will help you thrive in our diverse team and give excellent customer service to our tenants.
To Thrive In This Role, You Will Have
Demonstrated skills and experience in general maintenance, carpentry, patching, tiling and painting
Skilled in troubleshooting minor plumbing and electrical issues.
High-level communication skills with an empathetic customer-first mindset to maintain positive tenant relationships
A commitment to diversity, safety and continuous improvement
We Would Also Love You To Have
Knowledge of housing or property asset management in a social housing context
Experience with databases, MS Office, Smartsheet and Tenancy Asset Management Systems.
