Description

Job Summary: The Barcade Attendant's primary responsibilities are overseeing the gaming experience in the arcade or barcade area, ensuring guests are engaged, gaming equipment functions properly, and that all customer service needs are met.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Greet customers and provide excellent service throughout their gaming experience
2. Monitor the arcade games and ensure all machines are functioning properly
3. Assist guests with any technical issues or gameplay questions
4. Ensure the cleanliness and order of the arcade/barcade area
5. Facilitate prize redemption and promotions
6. Collect feedback from guests regarding the gaming experience
7. Coordinate with maintenance staff to resolve equipment malfunctions
8. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
9. Promote events and gaming specials to encourage guest participation
10. Must be able to deal with high volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing, upbeat and cheerful
11. Builds guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers and making them feel welcome, comfortable, and inviting them back
12. Observes all activity within assigned area offering assistance to all guests
13. Observes activity and reports anything that is out of the ordinary
14. Capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibits the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of management personnel; effort is given to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships
15. Ensures all guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions
16. Utilizes open body language, politely speaks with and assists guests as needed
17. Assists in maintaining a spotless facility by disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles left by guests
18. Maintains monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards
19. Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
20. Empowered to resolve guest disputes quickly and efficiently up to a pre-determined amount. Otherwise, ensuring a manager is notified immediately to resolve the situation
21. Crosstrain in other departments
22. Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


Experience and Qualifications:

23. Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have the ability to obtain and retain KRGC Gaming License.
24. One year of direct customer contact experience, preferred
25. Previous money handling experience preferred
26. Display professionalism; excellent verbal and written communication skills
27. Professional appearance as outlined in the Gilley's Team Member Handbook
28. Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
29. Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

30. Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
31. Must be able to respond to visual and audible cues
32. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
33. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel and grip items
34. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time (8-12 hours)
35. Have a sense of urgency and keep up with fast paced business practices
36. Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
37. Must be able to tolerate areas with secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
