Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Systems Engineer with hands‑on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly using Terraform. In this role, you will support the design, implementation and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure across multi‑cloud environments to support HUB24's AI initiatives, enterprise systems and broader technology services.
This position works closely with cloud, security, development, network and operations teams to ensure reliability, performance and high‑quality delivery across all infrastructure platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Deploy and maintain cloud and on‑premise infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP and VMware environments.
* Contribute to shared Terraform modules, coding standards and multi‑environment alignment.
* Collaborate with development, security, DevOps and application teams to meet performance, security and scalability requirements.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, IaC processes, architecture and operational playbooks.
* Participate in after‑hours deployments and incident response when required.
* Provide technical guidance to team members on cloud automation, engineering standards and best practices.
* Identify and resolve discrepancies between deployed infrastructure and Terraform state.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in Cloud Engineering and/or DevOps roles.
* Tertiary qualifications in information technology or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in planning, designing and implementing cloud or infrastructure solutions.
* Certifications or technical specialisations are highly regarded.
* Strong experience with Terraform (modules, state management, pipelines, multi‑environment deployments).
* Experience with Ansible is highly regarded.
* Practical experience using version control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps, including applying branching strategies.
* Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure or GCP.
* Good understanding of networking, identity, security and cloud architectural concepts.
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Bamboo or GitHub Actions.
* Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
* Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
