Your opportunity
The Corporate Tax team is growing to meet increased demand. We are seeking experienced tax professionals, including high quality Senior Tax Managers with 6-10 years of experience in professional services or industry.
As our Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you will deliver pragmatic solutions to help clients solve complex tax matters and efficiently manage their tax responsibilities. You'll collaborate with colleagues in Melbourne, Sydney, Parramatta, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth to deliver innovative solutions that help clients meet their tax obligations while maximizing business outcomes. The team stays ahead of regulatory and legislative changes to provide timely and effective advice that meets clients' needs. You will play an integral role in helping clients navigate the tax landscape and contribute to EY's growth strategy.
Your key responsibilities
* Collaborate with the leadership team to coordinate and manage the provision of taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance, and the preparation and review of income tax returns and accounting calculations.
* Deliver a full spectrum of corporate taxation advisory and compliance services tailored to client needs, while supporting senior team members in complex tax engagements, including ATO risk reviews, audits and ruling application processes.
* Lead and mentor the team, including managers, senior consultants, consultants and graduates, acting as a counsellor for junior members, fostering career development and a positive team culture.
Skills and attributes for success
* Detailed knowledge and experience with the Australian taxation system, gained in a professional services firm or comparable industry role, with expertise in corporate income tax compliance calculations, processes, and ATO lodgement obligations.
* Strong communication skills and ability to lead client engagements on substantive tax matters and coordinate various engagements, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all interactions.
* CA qualification or equivalent, or completion of other postgraduate studies (e.g., Tax Masters). Technical knowledge of IFRS and Tax Accounting is advantageous but not essential.
