The FOI Administration Officer serves as the primary point of contact for new applications and enquiries received via phone and email, while also providing essential support to ensure the efficient operation of the FOI Unit. The incumbent is responsible for a range of administrative duties, including records management, the creation of electronic files, and responding to telephone enquiries, ensuring effective service delivery to members of the public as well as internal and external agencies. The role requires a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, a high level of initiative and self-direction, and a foundational understanding of the FOI Act to ensure applications are assessed for compliance, relevant information is accurately researched within SAPOL systems, and determination reports are prepared in accordance with legislative and procedural requirements. The incumbent will handle confidential information and must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, analytical thinking, confidentiality in administrative duties, and attention to detail in data entry, file organisation and records management.
Special Conditions
* The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
* The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
* The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Salary
ASO3 - $67,589 - $72,033 per annum.
