WSP in Australia is seeking a motivated professional Civil Engineer with at least two (2) years' experiene to join our team working across mine construction, geotechnical investigations, and process assessment projects. If you enjoy a mix of field and office work, love solving technical problems, and want to accelerate your growth with supportive mentors, this role is for you.
The Opportunity
In this role, you'll have the chance to develop your capability in evaluating, planning, and overseeing mine‑related construction and assessment activities. You'll gain broad exposure across geotechnical investigations, design support, project planning, and client engagement—building a strong foundation for your engineering career.
What You'll Do
Field & Technical Work
* Conduct geotechnical desktop and field investigations
* Manage fieldwork operations while ensuring safety and collecting high‑quality data
* Undertake site‑based QA/QC activities and monitor construction activities
Design, Reporting & Project Support
* Prepare technical deliverables, specifications, and proposals under supervision
* Assist in project planning and coordination with clients and contractors
* Apply engineering methods to solve real‑world challenges
Professional Growth & Collaboration
* Participate in mentoring programs and company development initiatives
* Work closely with engineers across the wider WSP business
* Contribute to improved client satisfaction and project outcomes
About You
You're an early‑career engineer who brings curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn. You'll thrive here if you enjoy hands‑on work, technical problem‑solving, and collaborating with others.
We're Looking For Someone With
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, or related)
* 2–4 years' experience in civil or geotechnical engineering
* Developing skills in report writing, cost estimation, and proposal preparation
* Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow your capability
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to "Best for WSP" outcomes
* Understanding of SHEQ requirements and safety‑first values
Membership in Engineers Australia or participation in a Professional Development Program is highly regarded.
