Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a Family Support Specialist to support children, young people and parents through effective case management and parenting support.
You will advocate for their rights and well-being across emotional, physical, social, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, ensuring their voices guide our services and programs.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate case management to children and young people, particularly those affected by family violence.
* Deliver strengths-based parenting support focused on fostering healthy parent-child relationships.
* Work collaboratively with schools, local agencies, and community stakeholders to identify service gaps and implement child-focused community initiatives.
* Assess the impact of violence on children and young people, and support their recovery through tailored, therapeutic interventions.
What We Are Looking For
* Degree qualification in Social Work, Early Childhood, Counselling, Welfare, Community Development or related field.
* Demonstrated experience working with children and families affected by family and domestic violence.
* Experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally responsive support services.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and/or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
* High-level organisational and time-management skills, with ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in record-keeping and Microsoft Office.
