Oberon High School has an enrolment of 208 students, including 25 identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, serving the town and surrounding districts of semi-industrial rural Oberon. The school provides a broad curriculum in collaboration with its community, preparing students for academic and vocational pathways.
The school encourages student achievement across various areas and supports student wellbeing through multiple programs. Facilities include sporting fields, an indoor tennis complex, and a heated swimming pool, with support from local community groups and sponsors.
The school offers a compressed Stage 6 curriculum since 2015, allowing broader curriculum choices for students.
Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Science and Biology.
* Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to develop, implement, and evaluate programs supporting student growth.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
