Your new role
As an APS5 Project Support Officer, you will provide efficient and timely administrative and project support to assist with planning, coordination and delivery activities across the team. You will help maintain accurate project documentation, support governance processes, and contribute to reporting, analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Drafting, reviewing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines and documentation.
* Providing high‑quality administrative support, including shared inbox management, workflow coordination and record keeping.
* Undertaking data analysis to identify trends, issues and insights that inform reporting and briefings.
* Developing and maintaining project templates, briefs and documentation.
* Tracking project actions, milestones and deliverables to support effective project delivery.
* Engaging with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and support timely completion of tasks.
* Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance administrative and reporting practices.
* Assisting with workshops, events and broader section activities when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise and audience‑appropriate documents.
* Sound organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse data and present findings clearly and accurately.
* Well‑developed administrative capabilities, including task planning, email management and record keeping.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience providing administrative or project support in a government or similar environment (desirable).
* The ability to quickly learn and apply government processes, policies and governance frameworks.
To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance.
