We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary group, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions for complex water management problems.
Job Description
Our team provides comprehensive water resources services, including flood impact assessment, hydrological and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, mine water management, and coastal engineering. We work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their goals.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Leading and delivering flood risk management, flood modeling, and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support projects
* Assisting with the preparation of tenders and proposals
* Collaborating with professionals from various geographies and building relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors
* Helping to coach junior professionals and fostering the growth and development of the team
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering and RPEQ/CPEng (highly regarded)
* Strong client focus, high level of motivation, and dedication, with the ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
* Experience or interest in project management
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and communicate with various stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience with water resource modeling and design packages such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XPRAFTS, URBS, 12d, MUSIC, GoldSim, IQQM, Source, etc.
* Good working knowledge of ARR 2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM
