We are currently seeking a Content Designer to join our Federal Government client in Canberra.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring complex legal and policy information is translated into clear, accessible content for internal and external users.
As a Content Designer, you will be responsible for interpreting and simplifying legal frameworks, ensuring that content meets the needs of users while supporting the strategic objectives of the department.
* Legal Interpretation and Translation:
o Work with legal and policy frameworks to create plain-English content for digital platforms, internal guidance, and external communications.
o Serve as the key point of contact between legal advisors and design teams to ensure content is accurate and accessible.
* Collaboration with Design and Delivery Teams:
o Partner with Content Designers, delivery teams, and legal experts to develop content that enhances usability, accessibility, and clarity.
o Create content that supports a range of users – including buyers, sellers, and internal teams.
* Content Development:
o Develop and maintain a suite of materials such as category descriptions, onboarding guides, FAQs, and internal briefing documents.
o Ensure all content aligns with our content standards, tone of voice, and accessibility requirements.
* User-Centered Communication:
o Shape content based on insights from user research, testing, and feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
o Participate in usability testing and refine content based on findings.
* Content Strategy and Governance:
o Maintain a content register, manage version control, and ensure content is up to date.
o Help develop a governance model for managing legal and policy content across platforms.
o Identify opportunities to improve existing content and proactively suggest enhancements.
o Leverage analytics, performance data, and stakeholder feedback to inform future content updates.
