Respiratory Nursing Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Consultant. This is a part-time, permanent position working 32 hours per fortnight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide respiratory nursing consultations and contribute to treatment plans.
2. Liaise with the treatment team to ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centred care for people experiencing lung conditions.
3. Identify opportunities to strengthen service systems to ensure innovation and continuous quality improvement.
4. Prepare written reports for the treatment team in accordance with the Medicare Benefits Schedule.
5. Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice relevant to the role.
6. Participate in departmental and organisational meetings as required.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
2. Demonstrated experience and skills in chronic condition assessments, including respiratory nursing management and care coordination.
3. Postgraduate studies relevant to respiratory nursing.
