We are seeking a motivated Control Systems Engineer who can bring new ideas, challenge the status quo and help drive our next phase of growth.
Role Description
The role is Perth based with ad-hoc travel to client sites in Western Australia. You will be responsible for the design, engineering and commissioning of industrial control systems including:
* PLC software development -
must have
experience in either Schneider or Rockwell.
* SCADA/HMI software development -
must have
experience in either Aveva Plant SCADA (Citect), FactoryTalk or Ignition.
* Creation and review of document deliverables, including but not limited to; Functional Specifications, Factory Acceptance documentation, Site Acceptance documentation, and IO Lists.
* Review and understanding of related design documentation, included but not limited to; P&IDs, PFDs, IO Lists, Cable Schedules, Loop Diagrams, Control Philosophies, Flow Diagrams, Electrical Design Documentation, Equipment Datasheets.
* Configuration of IEDs (Intelligent electrical devices) from various vendors.
* Analysis and auditing of existing control system implementations.
* Design reviews and punch listing with client representatives.
* Factory Acceptance Testing.
* Site Acceptance Testing.
* On site commissioning of PLC/HMI/SCADA software.
* Remote PLC/HMI/SCADA software support.
* Interactions with client representatives relating to industrial control systems.
* Design and specification assistance related to product selection.
Skills/Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical, automation or mechatronics.
* Have a minimum 2+ years' experience in industrial automation.
* Have an understanding of common industrial protocols and communications systems, including ModbusTCP, Profibus, EthernetIP, TCP/IP.
* Able to work well in a team environment.
* Have sound fault-finding ability related to industrial control systems and associated technology.
* Australian Permanent Residency status.
* Valid Australian driver's license.
