Job Title: Research Assistant
The Baker Institute is seeking a highly motivated individual to support our research team in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting with pre-clinical model studies, conducting animal studies, and performing molecular, cellular, and biochemical experiments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with pre-clinical model studies.
* Conduct animal studies including myocardial and vascular function measurement.
* Conduct molecular, cellular, and biochemical experiments.
* Perform critical analyses of literature relevant to research.
* Provide advice within the field of research to postgraduate students.
Requirements:
* Academic knowledge of a health science discipline.
* Research experience in preclinical model handling, myocardial function and vascular function analysis, cell culture studies, molecular biology, biochemical and/or immunological assays.
* Appropriate project management and computer skills.
* Understanding of own area of research and how this team interacts with other directly related groups within the research program.
