Design & Build are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client who specialise in architecturally designed renovations, extensions and heritage works within the residential sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a design-led environment, with the business moving toward bringing design in-house and continuing to deliver bespoke, high-quality residential projects.
You will manage projects from contract award through to completion, taking responsibility for programme, budget, quality, coordination and client communication. Acting as the primary client contact during construction, you’ll work closely with site teams, designers, consultants and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and true to design intent.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple residential projects, ensuring excellence in time, cost, and quality
* Day-to-day client communication and expectation management
* Build and maintain relationships with site teams to ensure projects are delivered to the expected quality standards and design intent
* Prepare, issue and administer subcontracts and purchase orders
* Create and maintain the construction programmes, identifying opportunities and resolving potential risks proactively
* Management of budgets, progress claims, variations and forecasting
* Coordination of permits, authority approvals and compliance documentation
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in residential construction
* Strong background delivering architecturally designed and heritage projects from contract award to handover
* Solid understanding of domestic building contracts and post-contract administration
* Highly organised, proactive and collaborative, with strong client-facing skills
* Passion for quality and detail
* Confidence utilising various construction systems
