Operational Leadership Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating casework services to deliver high-quality services within a trauma-informed framework.
This includes leading a team of caseworkers, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and providing operational leadership.
The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise staff, manage programs, and develop services.
The Coordinator will work closely with House Managers, Caseworkers, Education Officers, Therapeutic Specialists, Principal Practitioners, and ITC Homes Coordinators to ensure the delivery of positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Primary Objectives:
* Provide operational leadership to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures;
* Deliver high-quality services to provide positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families;
* Work collaboratively with caseworkers to provide specialist casework services, including restoration, guardianship, and adoption.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in social work, community services, management, or a relevant field;
* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families;
* Demonstrated understanding of child protection and statutory child protection frameworks;
* Strong understanding of Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) policy, practice, and quality frameworks;
* Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability in supervising staff;
* Experience in casework, program management, service development, and review, and experience in the Permanency Support Program.
