That’s The JW Treatment.About The RoleAs a laundry attendant you will be making sure all of the linen from our rooms and the restaurant are washed, pressed and returned allowing our team members to provide true hospitality to all of our guests. It's up to you to ensure that all washed linen is looking fresh and clean.Critical responsibilities:Ensure correct usage of all equipmentMaintain linen room and equipment in high standard of cleanliness and repairComply with and demonstrate awareness of Workplace Health and Safety policies and proceduresWashing, drying, pressing and folding clean linen from rooms and outletsOperate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts.Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load.Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load.Fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine.Maintain accurate records of items laundered.Successful candidate will have:Friendly personality and positive attitudeGood communications skills – ability to develop rapport within a short time frameTo be able to work in a team environmentFlexible working hours availability based on a rotating rosterThe BenefitsUnlimited strategic development and career opportunitiesGenerous accommodation and food and beverage discounts including all properties within the Marriott International groupRecognition programs to keep you motivatedThe best hotel training opportunities providedWellbeing and mindfulness programs to ensure you stay healthyAt Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
