Job Description About the Role:As a HR Business Partner you will collaborate with leaders and managers across the organisation to drive business strategies through effective people management practices. The role will have an Industrial Relations focus and operate in a largely blue-collar environment.From day to day the role will include industrial/employee relations as well as more generalist HR duties like performance management, talent management and training and development.We have a variety of sites across the state and are open to applications from Tasmanian local professionals. While Hobart is preferred, we are open to discussing with those living within proximity to Launceston, Burnie or Devonport.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Support the business with employee relations, conflict resolution and performance issues.Investigate employee complaints or disputes, providing recommendations for resolution.Lead and participate in collective Industrial Relations activity such as the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labour regulations and union contracts, as well as all company policies, procedures, and standards.Advise leadership on workforce planning, organisational design, and talent development.Assist with managing organisational changes, restructures and other shifts - and ensure compliance with labour agreements throughout the process where applicable.Maintain accurate records of union negotiations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and other HR and IR-related activities. Desired Skills and Experience Key Personal Attributes:Strong business acumen.Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organisation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to deal well with change and operate in a dynamic environment.About You:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.At least 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or generalist role.In-depth knowledge of IR/ER practices.Experience in using HR data to inform decision-making.Experience with HRIS systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Openness and flexibility to travel in order to provide on the ground support across our sites, primarily within Tasmania.An inclusive workplace, works for everyoneWe celebrate difference.
