Trade/Counter Salesperson – Keilor Park or Dandenong South

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Customer Service / Counter Salesperson to join our busy Keilor Park branch. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role supporting trade customers via counter service, phone, and email, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

*Our Trading hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm (closed Sat & Sun)
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality service to trade customers at the counter, over the phone, and via email
* Process customer orders accurately (quotes/orders/invoices as required)
* Pick and coordinate orders, ensuring correct product selection and readiness for dispatch/delivery
* Liaise with warehouse/dispatch to prioritise urgent and scheduled deliveries
* Troubleshoot customer issues and provide practical solutions (stock availability, substitutions, delivery timing, etc.)
* Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes to ensure smooth order flow
* Contribute to a positive, cooperative team culture and support colleagues when needed
Role Requirements
* Strong computer literacy (comfortable working across systems and email daily)
* Team-first attitude: reliable, supportive, and willing to help others when required
* Positive, motivated, and customer-focused mindset
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, trade counter environment with competing priorities
Preferred Experience / Skills
* Experience in trade customer service, counter sales, or similar customer-facing roles
* HVAC/Heating/Cooling industry knowledge is highly regarded but not essential to apply
* Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV (or similar), plus strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Office
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail (accuracy is critical for orders and picking)
* Is confident speaking with trade customers and handling multiple orders at once
* Learns systems quickly and enjoys working in a practical, solutions-based role
* Is dependable, upbeat, and contributes positively to a team environment
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required
