The Health, Safety, Environment & Rehabilitation (HSER) Team is a small, specialist team within the Organisational Resilience Program. The core function of the team is to advise and support the Business Groups within the Bureau to effectively manage their health, safety and environmental sustainability risks, provide rehabilitation and return-to-work services and ensure compliance with legislation.
The Work, Health & Safety (WHS) Advisor supports the HSER team by providing system support and specialist technical advice for the Bureau's work health and safety management system (Protecht) and the generation and data analysis of WHS performance reports for the Executive Team.
The WHS Advisor supports the Health and Safety Lead for the Data and Digital Group by providing health and safety advice for Bureau remote postings, including hazard and incident response, incident investigation, development and review of risk assessments, policies or procedures.
The WHS Advisor provides secretarial support for the Bureau Work Health & Safety Committee (BWHSC) and leads and coordinates the WHS networks of Health & Safety Representatives (HSRs) and First Aid Officers (FAOs) to comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.
