About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Clinical Nurse Lead – Addiction/Mental Health with opportunity to work up to 38 hours per week across our immigration detention facilities in both the Perth and Northam area. You will utilize your expertise in mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) to provide clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team that provides care to people in immigration detention. The role involves direct patient care, staff supervision and mentoring as well as collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance integrated care and service delivery. The Clinical Nurse lead also contributes to program and service delivery evaluation to improve outcomes for this population.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the delivery of mental health and AOD services, including assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and referrals.
* Provide direct clinical care and support a recovery-oriented approach.
* Oversee OST pharmacotherapy service delivery and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
* Supervise and mentor staff, manage rosters, and support professional development.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.
* Maintain accurate health records and participate in data collection and evaluation.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated care.
* Ensure compliance with legislative and organisational policies, including WHS and quality systems.

* Registered Nurse (Division 1) with unrestricted AHPRA registration.
* Postgraduate qualification in mental health and/or AOD (AQF recognised).
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate clinical experience in mental health and substance use disorders.
* Proven leadership experience in healthcare settings.
* Strong knowledge of dual diagnosis, harm reduction, and risk management principles.
* Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and strategic planning skills.
* High-level computer literacy and familiarity with clinical documentation systems.
